NCS and NDIA Conduct STEM/M&S Seminar for High School Teachers and Educators

NCS and NDIA (Central Florida Chapter) conducted a seminar for approximately 45 of Florida’s high school teachers and educators. The seminar took place on 25-26 September at the Lockheed Martin facility at Global Innovation Circle, Orlando, Florida.

The objectives of the seminar were as follows:

  • To familiarize high school teachers with STEM/M&S skill set requirements for the M&S Industry
  • To show connectivity with the four year high school M&S Curriculum available on the NCS website
  • To describe career opportunities in the M&S Industry
  • To answer questions teachers may have regarding student preparation for STEM/M&S careers
     

Guiding the seminar were Ms. Elizabeth Burch, NDIA and President/CEO Dignitas Technologies, and Hank Okraski, NCS Board Member and Chair, NCS Education and Workforce Development Committee. Presenters were experts from industry, government and academia.
