On 11 Aug 2017, Lt Gen (Ret) Baptiste presented $2,500 Vice Amico Scholarship Awards to Michell Duany and Karla Badillo-Urquiola.  Michell is an incoming freshman from Lyman High School and Karla is a Doctoral Candidate in the graduate program at UCF/IST.

NCS is proud to announce it has doubled the number of annual scholarships it presents to local High School Seniors.  This year 9 x $1,000 scholarships were presented to High School Seniors.  A tenth scholarship was offered to Boone High School but unfortunately there was no applicant. 

On April 13, 2017, NCS hosted the inaugural Advisory Committee Meeting for Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy and key staff.  The Advisory Committee consists of 10 Simulation Industry senior executives and is designed to allow the Congresswoman to update Industry on what is happening on Capitol Hill and allow members to share issues she can take back to Congress.

Through NCS Leadership the Simulation Community is one step closer to acquiring another Partnership Office Building in order to move our Team Orlando Federal Workforce out of high cost leased space in the Research Park.  Due to overcrowding at Naval Support Activity Orlando, a number of tenant organizations must rely on 200,000 sq. ft. of commercial office space.  Partnership IV and soon to be IVb  will eliminate that requirement and reduce their cost of occupancy in the Research Park by nearly 80%.  Community Leaders are convinced this effort will mitigate any adverse action during the next round of Base Realignment and Closure […]

Central Florida Spotlight, a weekly television show that showcases items of importance to Central Florida, recently featured the Medical Simulation Industry.  Greg Warmoth interviewed Thomas Baptiste, Lt. Gen., USAF (Ret.), President of NCS; Dr. Roger Smith, CTO, Florida Hospital – Nicholson Center for Surgical Advancment; and Dr. Arnold Advincula, Medical Director, Gynecologic Robotic Surgery Program, Florida Hospital Global Robotics Institute. 22-24 May, NCS participated at ITEC 2012 in London.  The European equivalent of I/ITSEC, ITEC provides a unique opportunity to tell the story of the MS&T Industry in Central Florida.  NCS partnered with the Metro Orlando EDC to talk with European companies about the benefits of having a presence in the epicenter of the MS&T Industry.  In order to manage conference costs, NCS partnered with Lockheed Martin GT&L to share a portion of their booth space.  Lt Gen (Ret) Baptiste also participated on a panel during the conference.
