Summit on the Future of Space, 31 August 2011 @ UCF

With the end of the Space Shuttle era, there is a need to promote positive discussion about the future of space.  The Summit on the Future of Space aims to increase awareness of plans for both manned and unmanned space exploration while also highlighting the important role of Central Florida’s simulation and training resources.  One of the stated objectives of U.S. Space Policy for human spaceflight is near-Earth asteroid (NEA) exploration by 2025.  Dr. Paul Abell from NASA-JSC is an expert in NEA exploration who will join us and give the Medin Series Lecture.  This one-day event will promote conversation among stakeholders (from academia, industry, government), identify the core issues for all parties, and facilitate the potential for collaboration and growth.
