Posted on September 21, 2017 in General News

DSI’s Directed Energy Day will focus on the efforts across the military branches to advance and utilize directed energy technologies. The discussion will cover latest the initiatives to apply directed energy to existing platforms and recent efforts to further develop the technology.
On October 19th, senior leaders from research labs, weapons development centers, and directed energy thought leaders from across the DoD will convene in Alexandria, VA for Defense Strategies Institute’s Directed Energy Day.  This one day, off-the-record event, will consist of candid discussions on efforts to advance directed energy technologies and transition them into deployable platforms. Sessions will explore the latest initiatives to further the development of directed energy weapons; additionally we will be considering the wide ranging offensive and defensive capabilities of this emerging technology.
“As directed energy technology transitions and usability becomes a reality, the conversations surrounding directed energy have become more tactical and less theoretical. We are putting together a one day event that will encapsulate this evolution and discuss the future of directed energy.”
