Many business owners know they need to make formal plans for leadership transition, but planning can easily take the backseat to the urgency of managing daily operations, people, equipment, credit, cash flow, business development, and the next big project. However, this is becoming a significant issue for business owners.
Challenges and barriers to business succession are real. Those challenges become even more complicated when friends and family are involved. A healthy, sustainable business is the best way to provide for the needs of all involved. The goal is operating the business today in a manner that creates multiple options tomorrow.
