7th Annual Government Contracting Strategies & Matchmaking Event sponsored by the SBDC @ UCF, 27-28 May 2015

This is a two-day event – May 27 and May 28.  It will be held at the National Entrepreneur Center in Fashion Square Mall.

The first day is a series of subject matter experts speaking on timely and relevant topics to our region including the I4 Project, the OIA Expansion, and Purchasing Plans for Local Procurement.  Cassius Butts, Southwest Regional Director of the SBA will be our Keynote Speaker and will discuss the priorities of the SBA in our region for 2015 and beyond.  This day alone will be a valuable learning experience and a great opportunity for networking!

The second day is our Business Matching event where local businesses will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one for 10-12 minutes with the buying officials for local government agencies and prime contractors.  Some of the agencies and primes that have already confirmed for this event include:  the SBA, CFL Expressway, FDOT, City of Leesburg, Florida Turnpike Enterprise, GOAA, Lockheed Martin, NASA, Orange County, Patrick AFB, Seminole County, Siemens, Skanska, and UCF.   NAWC TSD is specifically looking for small businesses that are involved, or looking to be involved, in the Simulation & Training sectors to attend the event and schedule meetings with them.  Organizers expect this list will continue to grow as we get closer to the event!

Each vendor will have the opportunity to meet with three agencies.  When you register, you will have the opportunity to pick the four agencies that you most want to meet and we will work to get you matched up with at least two or even three of them.   Here’s a little known secret – as we add additional participants, if you find you would prefer to meet with one or more of the additional agencies, you can send me an email asking to re-prioritize your list so there is no disadvantage to registering early!

There is a fee of $95.00 which helps to cover the costs of the materials and food (continental breakfast and lunch will be provided on the first day).

FOR ORANGE COUNTY BUSINESSES:   If your business is located in Orange County, the county is funding a subsidy so your cost will be $45.
