Lana Wallis is the Lead Teacher and Deputy Director for DoD STARBASE Central Florida. Lana has a Master of Science degree from the University of Florida in Forensic Toxicology. She began her career in science at Washington State University conducting genetic research in the school of medicine. After moving back to Florida in 2008, she went through the necessary steps to obtain her professional educator certification for chemistry through the state of Florida. She has worked as a public and private school science teacher, and has taught physical science, chemistry, environmental science and marine science. Outside of STARBASE, Lana is a board member for Cancerbank.org and enjoys volunteering in local community events.
