This is an INFORMAL, courtesy notice of TWO (2) formal Requests for Information (RFI) released in late April 2014, from the Defense Health Program, Defense Medical Research and Development Program (DMRDP), Joint Program Committee 1 (JPC-1), Medical Training & Health Information Sciences (MTHIS) and the TATRC Medical Simulation and Training research portfolio.

“This RFI is seeking organizations researching, developing, and offering, or soon to be offering, ‘gesture’ interface devices which are currently used or soon to be released for medical training and education applications. Gestures may range from gross body movements (such as walking / twisting) to fine motor and/or more subtle movements (wrist, finger, shoulder, etc.) and should also include facial expressions (capturing eye movement, mouth expressions, and other facial expressions).  “
