Job Description The Institute for Simulation and Training (IST) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for the position of assistant in simulation. Our research is primarily in support of the U.S. Army Research Lab (ARL) simulation and training technologies research.
Position Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in computer science or computer engineering from an accredited institution and two years of related professional experience, or a bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering from an accredited institution and three years of related professional experience. Applicants from other academic disciplines related to modeling and simulation will be considered.
Preferences Strong applicants will have experience in at least four of the following areas: Augmented Reality concepts; Machine Learning/Deep Learning; Objective C/ C++/Java software language; Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems; mobile platform application development (Android and IOS); commercial game engines such as Unity; OpenSource game engines such as Ogre; and visual development environments such as IntelilJ, Xcode, Visual Studio, Qt Creator, Eclipse, and MonoDevelop.

U.S. citizenship and the ability to attain security clearance is required due to the nature of research performed.
This is a full-time, 12-month position supported by contracts and grants funding (C&G) and is contingent upon available funding.
