3D perception - Field Engineer

Position Description: 

3D perception provides high quality, high value, simulation visualization solutions to demanding customers in the aerospace industry, from design to installation to life-cycle support. 3D perception is widely recognized for its innovative products for seamlessly combining multiple projectors on curved screens.

3D perception is seeking a highly motivated Field Engineer to help strengthen their team in Orlando, Florida. The position is located in Orlando, Florida. Travelling must be expected, domestic and abroad, with around 120-150 travel days/year.

Responsibilities
As a member of our Project Team:
• Apply technical knowledge and communication skills to create and handle documents
• Complete project preparations to help ensure that a proposed project is feasible and that it can be successfully implemented
• Assemble, build, modify, and fit simulation visual display systems including:
o Install dome-screens, construct trusses, mount projectors, install servers and switches
o Cabling, including professional dressing and labeling
o Install software and configuring system
o Participate in Site Acceptance Testing
o When Project Manager is absent, lead efforts for safe and progressive work
o Coordinate with third party contractors

As a member of our Support Team:
• The successful and timely handling and resolution of customer support tickets
• Interface internally and with customers to facilitate repair and maintenance procedures
• Provide training for customers on system operation and troubleshooting problems during training missions
• Service and support missions both off and on-site

As a member of our Production Team:
• Perform incoming inspections on parts from suppliers
• Assemble, test, pack, and ship products

Qualifications
• 3 years relevant experience
• A combination of technical and physical assembly/construction experience
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
