The UCF Cyber Defense Team was feted at the White House in the Old Executive Office Building on 20 Aug 2014. The sponsor of the White House visit was the Department of Homeland Security which initially funded the National Cyber Collegiate Defense competition so numerous officials came from DHS.
The Director of the Secret Secret Service, Julia Pierson, spoke to the entire group about her pride in being a Knight and highlighted the importance of the UCF Cyber Defense Team. Vice President Biden spent nearly a half hour talking with the students and spoke of their importance in securing the future. For more information, click here.
