Daytona State College (DSC) in Need of Laboratory Equipment

Date Posted: May 24, 2012

Daytona State College at Daytona Beach, Florida is in need of simulation hardware/software to integrate into their Simulation and Robotics Technology Program.  NCS sponsors a scholarship at DSC for Simulation Technology studies.  This is the only such simulator maintenance and operation program east of the Mississippi.  More current technology would help to attract and motivate students toward a career in Modeling and Simulation.  Even "mildly" obsolete hardware/software would be of value because DSC graduates will be maintaining and operating simulators that are currently in the field or will be in the future.

NCS is working jointly with the local chapter of NDIA in this cooperative initiative to solicit donations from the simulation industry.  Please let Hank Okraski, Chairman, Education and Workforce Development Committee, know if your organization has any candidate donations and he will coordinate with Elizabeth Burch, NDIA Representative, and Dr. Ron Eaglin, DSC Associate Vice President, College of Technology. Hank can be reached at 407-671-4084 or Henry.Okraski@gmail.com.

We appreciate your interest in helping the college to upgrade their laboratory assets.  Remember, their graduates become your future workforce.  Why not invest in the future of your company!

Thomas L. Baptiste, Lt Gen, USAF (Ret)
President/Executive Director
