NCS hosts successful Medical Simulation breakfast with Industry on 29 Apr 10

On 29 Apr 10, NCS hosted a breakfast meeting with Industry.  The focus was on the future of Medical Modeling and Simulation.  Featured speakers were Mr. Tim Liezert, Medical Center Director, VA Medical Center Orlando and Mr. Rick Wassel, System Administrator, Nicholson Center for Surgical Advancement, Florida Hospital.  Mr. Liezert spoke about the new VA Medical Center under construction at Medical City in Lake Nona and the VA's decision to include a 55,000 sq ft Medical Modeling and Simulation Center of Excellence in the new Medical Center.  Mr. Wassel spoke about key initiatives at the Nicholson Center and specifically about the $ 4.2 million grant sponsored by Congressman Grayson in FY 10.  The future of Medical Modeling and Simulation is indeed bright and there is every reason why Orlando and Central Florida should become the epicenter to guide that future.
