"4th Annual Evolving Research, Development and Acquisition Strategies in support of our Warfighters"
It is expected that there will be dramatic and far reaching changes made to the manner in which the DOD is accomplishing its Research, Development and Acquisition responsibilities. R&D efforts still need to look towards Future Force Requirements but also needs to address battlefield advantages and life saving technologies that are needed on the battlefield now in support of our Warfighters. Similarly acquisition policies and practices are undergoing dramatic and significant changes to insure that these developments can be tested, training developed and rapid fielding accomplished in a revolutionary manner. Procurement reform remains as one of the most pressing issues the Defense Department faces and will be addressed.
