Event Description
Central Florida leaders and employers have recognized the need for a diverse workforce in business and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields. Too often, females are underrepresented in these areas; however, opportunities for women in what have been termed “non-traditional careers” are numerous.
In October 1999, DeVry University introduced a unique collaborative program—HerWorld— to encourage young women to pursue careers in business, science and technology. The program provides young women with the opportunity to meet professionals they might consider role models for their own career aspirations. On November 15, 2010, we will host HerWorldfor the 2nd time in the Central Florida area.
