Position Description
· One Full-time Assistant or Associate Professor – Orlando Campus
· Three Adjunct Professors – Orlando Campus
Education Required
A Master's degree (PhD preferred) in Simulation, Computer Science, or relevant degree is required, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the subject being taught. Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply.
Experience Required
Formal post secondary teaching experience required for full time professor position, and preferred for adjunct professors. Industry experience strongly desired. All faculty must have requisite subject matter expertise, outstanding communication skills, and excellent motivational and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment. Must be able to work in a collegial manner and facilitate the efforts of diverse groups.
Principle Duties
Teach assigned courses in Game and Simulation Programming discipline in a lecture / lab environment. Typical courses: · Introduction to Game and Simulation Development · Software Engineering for Game Programming · Simulation Design · Math for Game Programming · Visual and Audio Design Fundamentals · Practical Game Design · Game Engine Design and Integration · Programming for MMOG For full time faculty, additional duties may include: · participation in university service activities; · performing curriculum review and development; · supporting student activities; · attending Industry Advisory Boards and faculty meetings; mentoring / tutoring students as needed.
